Time-of-Use winter hours take effect Oct. 1

october 1

Does your business participate in the optional Time-of-Use rate? Remember to plan ahead for winter savings hours that begin Oct. 1, 2023, and continue through April 30, 2024.

Choose from three options to save on your energy costs by using electricity during the Time-of-Use off-peak hours when power costs less to produce:

Option 1

Noon to 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. to 8 a.m., Monday through Friday

Option 2

Noon to 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. to 9 a.m., Monday through Friday

Option 3

8 p.m. to 9 a.m., Monday through Friday

Additionally, winter savings hours are in effect 24 hours a day on Saturdays, Sundays and major holidays. Upcoming holidays include: Thanksgiving Day, the Friday following Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Consider the Time-of-Use electric rate if less than 35% of your electric use takes place during peak-use hours. In this case, your business will likely save money. Keep in mind that your savings can continue to grow as you shift the operation of equipment and other electric-intensive processes to off-peak hours.

When you’re ready to start saving, sign up online. We will replace your existing meter with a special meter that measures the electricity you use during Time-of-Use savings hours and peak-use hours.

If you have additional questions about this voluntary electric rate, contact the Business Solutions Center at 877-444-0888, or talk to your account manager.
